The Romanski Lab will be hiring a full time paid position for a Technical Research Assistant in our neuroscience laboratory at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Applicants should be graduating seniors with a degree in Neuroscience, biomedical engineering, Brain and Cognitive Sciences or a similar topic and should have prior research and coursework in neuroscience. This position is perfect for students looking for a gap year of research prior to graduate or medical school or for an individual looking for a career in neuroscience research. This job involves managing a research laboratory. The applicant should have good communication skills, prior research lab experience, basic neuroscience or physiology/anatomy coursework, and excellent skills with MS Word, Excel, and powerpoint. Prior research experience working with animals is a plus. Shadowing in the Romanski Lab during the spring semester is also possible prior to beginning employment.
