What kinds of positions qualify as “research” and can be posted on AURA? Are there specific policies I need to be aware of when mentoring undergraduates?
AURA Team

Generally, undergraduate research involves an investigation conducted by an undergraduate that makes an original intellectual or creative contribution to a discipline or activity. The position should provide a clear educational benefit to the student and assist in their career development. Research activities should be directly mentored by an experienced academic (professor, post-doctoral researcher or graduate student) who advise the student on meeting the goals of the project. Research positions can be paid, volunteer or conducted for academic credit. However, they typically have a flexible duration and time commitment and do not require extensive previous experience. If you want to discuss whether your position is appropriate for AURA, please contact us by emailing hello@joinaura.us.
